1. Washing Recommendations
Linen garments can be machine washed at 40°C (100°F) on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low for softness or hang dry for a natural look. Ironing isn’t necessary—wrinkles are part of linen’s beauty. If needed, iron inside-out on medium-high, avoiding overheating to prevent shine. Steaming is another safe option.
2. Keeping Your Linen in Great Shape
To preserve fabric structure, dry cleaning is best. While washing and drying at home will soften the material, it also wears it out faster. Dry cleaning helps retain shape and lifespan.
3. Natural Wear & Tear
Linen is strong but lacks elasticity. Repeated folds or pressure in the same spot may cause the fabric to weaken and break. Areas like collars or hems can wear out over time due to constant creasing.
4. Friction & Fit Issues
Frequent rubbing in areas like thighs or underarms may lead to thinning or tearing—especially if the fit is too tight. Choose the right size and avoid high-friction activities in delicate linen.
5. Fading Over Time
Color fading may happen due to natural dyes, frequent washing, sun exposure, or chemical contact (sweat, toothpaste, etc.). Always separate colors during laundry and avoid over-drying.
6. Linen Pilling
Though not common, linen may pill with wear. It’s natural. Wash separately to reduce friction between garments.
7. Stain Tips
Use white vinegar as a natural stain remover. Always test on an inside seam first if using any product. Avoid anything that transfers color.
